The Nehru Centre Library was inaugurated in the year 2013 and has received a wide media coverage.  From a small in – house library at the Sterling Centre to being spread across 20,000 square foot area in the Discovery of India Building, the Library has come a long way. What distinguishes the Nehru Centre Library from other public libraries is the well-lit and beautifully landscaped reading room with garden which makes reading a lively and beautiful experience. The massive map of the waterfront of Mumbai adds to the aesthetic design of the Library.

Since its inauguration, the Library has received praise and appreciation for its welcoming and attractive reading space, well organized collection, prompt services and outreach activities.
