Study Camp
Every year the Art Gallery organizes a study camp for art students of rural Maharashtra. The study camp of about 10 / 12 days is arranged at a selected place where around 12 selected students from Art Colleges of Maharashtra participate. The selection of participants is based on their art work. Experts from the field of art coach them intensively. The cost of the entire camp including food, accommodation, conveyance and art material is borne by the Nehru Centre. Over the years these camps are organised at different locations in different states viz. Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Gujrat, Goa, Konkan coast, Uttar Pradesh, Kutch and interiors of Maharashtra. Selected works are exhibited at the Art Gallery.
